Since Kindly, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through this Privacy Policy for the Eden AI mobile application ("App"). This policy describes what information is collected, how it is used, and your choices regarding your data.

1. Data Storage - On Your Device

Eden AI is designed with a local-first approach. Your personal profile information (such as name, age, and preferences), your chat history, match details, and any images you provide are stored locally on your device using the operating system's built-in database. We do not maintain a user account system and do not store your personal data on our servers. If you delete the App, your locally stored data is removed with it.

2. AI-Powered Features - Data Processing

To provide AI-powered features such as message generation and coaching, the App sends certain data to our server for real-time processing. This data may include:

  • Conversation context (messages exchanged within the App)
  • Profile context you have provided during onboarding (such as preferences and interests)
  • Match context (information about the person you are chatting with)
  • Images you share within the App for analysis
  • Audio messages for transcription

This data is processed in real time and is not stored on our servers. It is transmitted to our server solely for the purpose of generating AI responses and is discarded after processing.

3. Third-Party AI Services

To power the AI features described above, we use third-party AI service providers for tasks such as message generation, coaching, content analysis, and audio transcription.

When you use AI-powered features, the conversation context and related data described in Section 2 is sent to these providers for processing. These providers process the data in accordance with their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. Your data is not used to train AI models.

4. Analytics and Advertising

We collect anonymous, non-personal usage data to help us improve the App. This includes information such as device type, operating system version, and general usage patterns. This data does not identify you personally.

We use third-party services for analytics, error tracking, and advertising attribution. These services may collect device identifiers and usage data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We request your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before enabling any tracking for advertising purposes.

5. Your Consent

Before using AI-powered features, the App asks for your explicit consent to process your data with third-party AI services as described above. You may review this consent at any time. If you do not consent, AI-powered features will not be available.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Since your personal data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can delete all your data at any time by using the "Delete account" option within the App or by uninstalling the App. We do not retain any personal data on our servers beyond the duration of a single request.

7. Data Security

All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS. We implement standard security measures to protect your information during transmission.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 17. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received data from a user under 17, we will take steps to delete such information.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal and regulatory reasons. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
